- SIP(SYSTEMATIC INVESTMENT PLAN)

Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is an investment plan  by Mutual Funds wherein one can invest a fixed amount in a Mutual Fund Scheme at regular interval like once a month, instead of making a lump-sum investment. The installment amount could be as little as 500inr a month .

When you set up an SIP with any mutual fund, your account is debited a fixed amount every month. This amount is invested in a mutual fund of your choice.

Over a period of time, your investments accumulate and they keep growing.


- LUMP-SUM INVESTMENT

A Lump-Sum investment is a investment where depositing the entire amount at once. Lump-sum investment is a another way of investing in mutual funds. If you invest the entire amount available with you in a mutual fund scheme, it is called the lump-sum mutual fund investment.  This type of investment is for long term where investor invest for long time (like for 7 years).




TYPES OF MUTUAL FUNDS

There are many types of Mutual Funds some of them are as listed below.

  • Balanced funds
  • Specialty funds
  • Index funds
  • Fixed income funds


These funds are common and mostly used for investing funds.
 A investor may invest in any of them.
